Description: HubZone SetAside. Project title: WESTERN JUNIPER CONTROL PROJECT, Lava Beds National Monument, 1 Indian Well Headquarters, Tulelake CA 96134-8216, Siskiyou and Modoc Counties. Solicitation Number Q8410070015. The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed price quote on the services to rehabilitate 815 acres of sagebrush grasslands found at Lava Beds National Monument. This project focuses on cutting down western juniper within the 1872-73 historic landscape of the Modoc War and requires the cutting of all western juniper found within the project area with certain noted exceptions. The project area encompasses 815 acres. The Contractor shall access all work units by foot. Trees shall be cut and limbed in place and piles shall be no higher than 3 feet above the ground. Local scattering of limbs may be required to keep cut trees from being higher than 3 feet tall. There is no salvageable material in this contract. Gasoline powered chainsaws and similar power equipment (i.e. handsaws, pruners, etc) are permitted. The contractor is responsible for providing and maintaining their own equipment. All stumps will be flush-cut as close to the ground as possible. Please see solicitation for specific description of services. Cost to include all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to complete the work. Estimated cost of service range is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS code for this project is 561730. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the solicitation, Section L, clause 52.237-01, Site Visit.
