Description
This is a Request For Information for the purposes of conducting market research. This RFI does not constitute a future contract and vendors shall not be compensated for providing information. There is no solicitation available at this time. The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO) is currently performing a market survey to determine if vendors exist that can meet the following concept. The AO is seeking sources capable of providing Shared Media Network Storage/Interplay Engine Bundle System. The following sections represent the technical requirements that MUST be available on the proposed shared media network. The proposed shared media network MUST include file system features that support: 64-bit distributed file; Enables real-time access to the storage blades; Distributes file system management among clients, storage blades and system director, The proposed file system MUST include Engine features that support: Rigid rackmount-ready chasis (4U rack height) contains storage blades, 2 integrated switch blades and 3 power/cooling blades; Laminar airflow for efficient cooling of all components; No internal cabling; Passive mid-plane distribution signals and internal power components. The proposed file system MUST include Storage Blade features that support: Intelligent dual-drive storage elements; 500 GB or 1 TB per blade; Minimal drive vibration; Integrated Linux-based server w/ dual redundant 1 Gb Ethernet ports; Hot swappable field replaceable unit. The proposed file system MUST include Integrated Ethernet Switching features that support: Dual, independent Layer 2 networks connect clients and storage blades; Built-in DCHP server for seamless attachment of clients to storage network; Eight 1 Gb Ethernet client ports; One 10 Gb Ethernet port for external switch connectivity; One 12 Gb expansion port; One chassis management port; Hot swappable, field replaceable unit; Seven 12 Gb expansion ports. The proposed file system MUST include Power/Cooling Blade features that support: 600 watt power supply; Redundant, 2 + configuration; Hot swappable field replaceable unit. The proposed file system MUST include System Director features that support: Rackmount-ready; Dual, mirrowed internal drives; Removable, lockable front cover; Redundant power supplies; Dual 1 Gb Ethernet connections to blade servers; Dual private network connections. The proposed file system MUST include Monitoring, Management and Administration tool features that support: Set up, view, and edit users, work spaces, disk sets; View error warnings and informational message logs; Monitor the health and physical location of major components; Remote notification of system events.
