- *** This amendment is issued to inform industry that pre-award site surveys will be conducted on a representative sample of locations throughout contract area of responsibility. The surveys will begin seven (7) calendar days after release of the RFP. The vendors will be limited to a maximum of two (2) representatives for each location. These representatives must possess a U.S. Secret or Foreign National equivalent clearance in order to participate in the surveys. The vendor must submit the following information to the Contracting Officer for each representative that will be participating in the site surveys: Vendor Name and address; First, Middle, and Last Name; Address; Social Security Number; Pass Port Number and Country of Issuance (for foreign locations); Security Clearance Level. The tentative schedule is as follows: 7 Calendar Days after RFP release (surveys to be conducted concurrently): > Survey Area 1: Oahu, Hawaii - 4 sites (2 days duration) > Survey Area 2: Alaska - 5 sites (1 week duration) > Survey Area 3: Colorado, California, Washington - 6 sites (10 days duration) 14 Calendar Days after RFP release (surveys to be conducted concurrently): > Survey Area 4: Illinois, Florida, Puerto Rico, Honduras, El Salvador - 6 sites (2 weeks duration) > Survey Area 5: Japan, Okinawa, Korea - 10 sites (3 weeks duration) The following are the locations to be surveyed: > Survey Area 1: Oahu, Hawaii: Hickam AFB, Ford Island, Wheeler AAF, NCTAMS-PAC > Survey Area 2: Alaska: Elmendorf AFB, Ft. Richardson, Ft. Wainwright, Ft. Greely, Eielson AFB > Survey Area 3: Colorado: Buckley AFB, Schriever AFB / California: MCAS Miramar, North Island, Camp Roberts / Washington: Ft. Lewis > Survey Area 4: Illinois: Scott AFB / Florida: Miami Network Access Point / Puerto Rico: Ft. Buchanan, La Puntilla / Honduras: Soto Cano / El Salvador: Comalapa > Survey Area 5: Korea: Camp Walker, Osan AB, Kunsan AB, Yongsan / Japan: Yokosuka, Yokota AB, Camp Zama, Misawa AB / Okinawa: Camp Courtney, Ft. Buckner *** DISA/DITCO-PAC intends to release the DTS-P II RFP on or about August 07, 2007, which will provide the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) transmission service requirements for the Expanded Pacific Region. The Expanded Pacific Region consists of the Pacific Command (PACOM), Northern Command (NORTHCOM), and Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) Area of Operations (AOR). The essential characteristics of these requirements are end-to-end information transfer services to the Department of Defense (DoD) and authorized non-DoD operations, seamless interoperability with the global Defense Information System Network (DISN), positive control, robust bandwidth, provisioning agility and flexibility, diversity, security, cost-effectiveness, technology insertion and enhancements.
