- Keesler AFB, MS, intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Fischer Custom Communications, 7920 Arjon Drive, Suite C, San Diego, CA 92126, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), (10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)) allowing for sole source awards when supplies or services are only available from one source. This is not a request for quotation. The NAICS is 335311 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. The requirement is for one (1) each E1 Large Pulse Generator. Market research obtained indicates that Fischer Custom Communications is the only company capable of providing this generator, using their proprietary design and specifications, to perform in accordance with MIL-STD-188-125-1. The basis for this conclusion is knowledge that they have designed only three sets of these generators, which are currently in use by the government at other military installations.
