- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTES. NO FORMAL RFQ WILL BE AVAILABLE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS AWARD WILL BE MADE ON OR ABOUT JULY 25, 2007, UNDER SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES. The U.S. Geological Survey, Illinois Water Science Center, Urbana, Illinois, intends to award a sole source contract to Seiler Instrument, Kirkham Industrial, St. Louis, Missouri, for the purchase of a Trimble R8 GNSS GPS RTK bundle with L5 compatibility. Compatibility between the district's Trimble 5600 optical survey system and the stand alone static GPS Trimble 4700 receiver is essential to ensure the continuity of data production. This award will be made on or about July 25, 2007, under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541370. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY.
