Description

In accordance with 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(2) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, ?Only One Responsible Source,? the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter issue a source modification to The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO, to modify Contract N00019-05-C-0045 to provide one additional month of persistent Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) services aboard the USS Whidbey Island. The USS Whidbey Island is currently on contingency deployment in direct support of Operation Enduring Freedom and the Global War on Terror. This deployment has been extended by one month. The Boeing Company is currently providing the UAV ISR services on this deployment. This contract action provides for only one month of continued service until such time as the USS Whidbey Island completes its deployment. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.) GENERAL INFORMATION: The Boeing Company is the only known source available with the requisite equipment, personnel, and technical knowledge to satisfy the Government's requirement within the required timeline. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: There are no commitments by the government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a delivery order for the efforts mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. Numbered note 22 applies.
