- PRESOL: P The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), intends to negotiate solely with Affymetrix, Inc. in Santa Clara, California to furnish and deliver the following consumable supplies which are needed for use with our existing Affymetrix GeneChip System at the USDA, ARS, NAA, and Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts in Boston, Massachusetts. The reagents and arrays are necessary supplies in order to conduct genomics research project. The Labeling & Control Kit is needed for analysis of arrays and reagents. Affymetrix Inc. is the only manufacture that can provide the Microarrays and One-Cycle Kit which are compatible with current Affymetrix equipment without compromising the research results compiled since 2001. Affymetrix shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, tools, services and supervision necessary to provide the SCHEDULE OF ITEMS - ITEM 01: P/N 900466, Human Genome U133 PLUS, QTY.: 2, UNIT: Packages, UNIT PRICE: $; AMOUNT: $; ITEM 02: P/N 900467, Humane Genome U133 PLUS, QTY.: 2, UNIT: Boxes, UNIT PRICE: $; AMOUNT: $; ITEM 03: P/N 900533, Drosophila Genome 2.0 Array, 30/pkg., QTY.: 1, UNIT: Package, UNIT PRICE: $; AMOUNT: $; ITEM 04: P/N 900493, One-Cycle Labeling & Controls Kit, QTY.: 1, UNIT: Each, UNIT PRICE: $; AMOUNT: $; ITEM 05: Shipping ? prepaid and added as a separate line item. QTY.: 1, UNIT: Job, UNIT PRICE: $; AMOUNT: $. DELIVERY - Delivery shall be FOB Destination to the USDA, ARS, and HNRCA within 14 calendar days after receipt of the credit card/purchase order. Delivery shall be made within the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. PACKING AND SHIPPING - The Contractor shall be responsible for shipping the supplies. The Contractor shall pack each item for shipment in a new container in such a manner that will ensure acceptance by common carrier and safe delivery at the destination. Containers and closures shall comply with the Interstate Commerce Regulation, Uniform Freight Classification Rules, or regulation of other carriers as applicable to the mode of transportation. The items to be furnished hereunder shall be labeled with the purchase order number and delivered, as a single shipment, all transportation charges paid by the Contractor in accordance with the F.O.B. Destination clause. WARRANTY - The Contractor shall provide a standard commercial warranty for these types of supplies. PAYMENT - The Contractor must be registered for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments in the Central Contractor?s Registration (CCR) database to receive payment. Payment may be made by a Government purchase order or Government Credit Card. Final payment shall not be made unless and until the order placed and the entire shipment has been received and accepted by the Technical Representative. The Commercial Items FAR Clauses 52.212-1, 52.212-4, 52.212-5 which includes 52.203-6; 52.222-03, 542.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.232-33, 52.232-36, 52.232-18, and it?s addenda which includes: 52.204-04, 52.204-06, 52.214-34, 52.214-35, 52.225-8, 52.227-19, 52.227-3, 52.242-17, 52-247-34. The NAICS Code is 334516 with a size standard of 500 employees. This procurement is unrestricted. This is not a request for proposal. No solicitation is available. Companies with the demonstrated capability and financial capacity to provide the above consumable supplies must submit a written substantive statement outlining the Company's and supply's capabilities, (including price lists). This announcement and any other documents related to this procurement will be available electronically at the Internet site http://www.fbo.gov. The Contractor is responsible for monitoring the FBO website for information relating to this requirement. Offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of these documents. Contractors are required to acknowledge receipt of all Amendments (if any). If no affirmative responses are received with 5 calendar days of publication of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Affymetrix Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302.
