- This procurement is set aside for Small Business Concerns Only. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), has a requirement for dockside repairs to be performed at NOAA Northeast Support Facility, 166 Water Street, Woods Hole, MA. The performance period anticipated to be August 30, 2007 to September 14, 2007. This acquisition is for DOCKSIDE repairs to the NOAA Ship DELAWARE II. Vessel's homeport is Woods Hole, MA. BASIC ITEMS include: All labor and material to replace all bearings seals, mid-shaft bearing carriers and the high speed driver pinion per the specifications on the NOAA ship DELAWARE II located at 16 Water Street, Woods Hole, MA. NOTE: Specification will be posted with solicitation (RFQ). All work shall be performed in accordance with detailed specifications and referenced NOAA Standard Specifications to be provided with the solicitation. Vessel will be available for inspection on August 10, 2007 at Woods Hole, MA. Arrangements for inspections can be made by contacting Ken Martson at 508-495-2347. Copies of the solicitation will only be posted on FEDBIZOPPS. This posting will appear on or about August 1, 2007. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract using a negotiated procurement Request for Quote (RFQ) procedures. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. Telephone requests will not be honored. It is recommended to register to receive notification. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor FEDBIZOPPS for the release of the RFQ, specification, drawings and all subsequent amendments. Quoters must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. Additionally, each quoter must obtain, and provide with the quote, a DUNs number.
