- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Graphic Design/Layout and Media Coordination for the Papahnaumokuakea Marine National Monument. The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is a United States Federal agency dedicated to understanding and predicting changes in the Earth?s environment and to conserve and manage coastal and marine resources to meet Unites States economic, social, and environmental needs. NOAA is the steward of national coastal and marine environments. In coordination with federal, state, local, tribal and international authorities, NOAA manages the use of these environments, regulating fisheries and marine protected areas as well as protecting threatened and endangered marine species. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: ? Graphic design and layout for collateral materials, both print and promotional items (brochures, greeting cards, flyers, posters and conference ?schwag,? i.e. mugs, bags, hats, etc.) ? Basic project management and coordination ? Supervise print material jobs through the proofing process, as well as print production and delivery. ? Research of prospective vendors and sourcing to ensure that the Monument receives materials that are of the best quality for the best price ? Web development related needs, including the ability to work with Adobe Dreamweaver and Flash, and be able to create and maintain interactive web based experiences that incorporate a wide variety of web technologies: video, animation, podcasts / videocasts and web based surveys ? Power Point development ? Writing content and editing and proof reading of documents ? Promotional/outreach material development and production ? Mailouts Deliverables ? Design of event specific materials such as event programs, informational flyers, custom designs on promotional materials ? Design of brochures on Native Hawaiian Cultural Heritage of the NWHI, Monument research, and Monument site brochure. ? Many Faces of the Coral Reef poster and brochure for International Year of the Reef 2008 ? Development of PowerPoint templates for several ?canned? Monument presentations. ? Website development of interactive multimedia and animation content to provide a virtual tour of the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. ? Web site updating support. ? Development of multi-media and print materials for the Monument permit program. ? Layout for reports, curriculum, and briefing materials. ? T-shirt design for Mokupapapa Discovery Center volunteers ? Press packet development PMNM ? Graphic design assistance on miscellaneous projects as need arises. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000 ****The Western Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as of October 1, 2003.
