- The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) intends to award a purchase order on a sole source order under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with National Office Systems, 444 N. Frederick Ave. #318, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 to replace the electronic controls of the Ammendale document facility of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) with manual controls and eliminate delays due to system failures in the shelving systems. National Office Systems is the installer and distributor for this item by the Borroughs Corporation. It is essential that the existing shelving system be compatible. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received (quote with product specifications) will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses or questions regarding this posting must be in writing and can be sent via email to kevin.doss@fda.hhs.gov. No calls will be accepted. This sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition for commercial items under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).
