- The Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Directorate intends to enter into negotiations on a sole source basis with Xconomy, River Court, Suite 101, 10 Rogers Street, Cambridge, MA 02142, to provide timely, insightful, close-to-the-scene information for business, science and technology leaders about companies and technological trends that exemplify today's high-tech economy. Access to their community of scientist, technologist and business innovators who include a Nobel Prize winner and several MacArthur "genius" award winners, will be provided for panel speaking or moderating events. DHS will also have the opportunity to address audiences during Xconomy sponsored events. Xconomy will provide premium placement of the DHS S&T and Tech Share logo, with links to program related information, materials and events information on the Xconomy Kendall Square web site and the Xconomy network. Other opportunities to promote the DHS mission include unlimited placement of job listings or program announcements on the Kendall Square web site, creation of banner ads for tech share and DHS S&T program information and events on the same locations and the ability to post Tech Share and DHS S&T program information in Kendall's Resource Area. The purposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Respond no later than August 03, 2007.
