Description
Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to Replace the HVAC Systems in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Wing 6A and the Endoscopy Clinic in Wing 4B (Project Number 650-05-322) all within Building 1 of the VA Medical Center, Providence, RI. This solicitation is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses in accordance with Public Law 109-461. The scope of this project includes selective demolition, general construction and renovations, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and electrical work as indicated in the project plans and specifications. The estimated construction range is between $1 million and $2 million. The applicable NAICS code is 238220 with a size standard of $13 million. Solicitation Number VA-241-07-RP-0218 is assigned to this solicitation and shall be referenced on all correspondence relating to this announcement and subsequent solicitation package. A pre-bid conference/site visit will be scheduled and information relating to this pre-bid conference will be addressed in the solicitation. The issue date is on or about August 3, 2007. The due date for receipt of proposals is scheduled for September 5, 2007 at 11:00 am. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. All relevant solicitation documents, including specifications and drawings may be accessed for download beginning on the date of issue at the following site: http://www.fbo.gov. Any amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted solely on this web site. Bidders are required to verify the number of amendments issued with the Contracting Officer prior to the bid opening date. Companies not having the capability to download solicitation documents may contact Rhode Island Blue Print (RIBP), 335 Webster Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920, phone number (401) 942-3225, for a copy of the solicitation package for a non-refundable deposit, which will be determined by RIBP. Please do not call RIBP until the issue date, as they will not have any information until then. Fax your request to RIBP at (401) 946-6550 and include your credit card number and expiration date along with the Solicitation Number. RIBP accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Prospective bidders are reminded that an active registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is required as well as completed electronic Representations and Certifications (ORCA). Both can be accessed at http://www.bpn.gov. Additionally, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) must be registered in the VetBiz Registry in order to be eligible for a contract award.
