Description

The 193rd Special Operations Wing of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for services, non-personal, to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, too ls, equipment, and supervision necessary to install/extend fire suppression and fire detection systems in Bldg 88. The proposed contract Action is open to Small size business concerns. This project is to add fire suppression and fire detection systems to modular offices which were installed in an existing maintenance bay within Building 88. The buildings fire suppression and fire detection systems require modifications to support the modular offices. Two mezzanines were constructed in separate areas of Bu ilding 88. The buildings fire suppression system requires modifications to support the mezzanine units. The designer shall be a Fire Protection Engineer, and the sprinkler system design, installation, and testing shall be in accordance with applicable NFP A requirements. The construction range will be between ***(PROJ Magnitude = $25,000 - $100,000)***. 100% Performance and 100% Payment Bonds will be required. A single award is contemplated. Failure to submit a bid on all items shall result in rejection of bid. Construction/contract completion time is anticipated to take approximate 60 days after notice to proceed to include inspection and punch list. The solicitation issue date will be around 3 August, 2007. The tentative date for the pre-bid conference is on-or-about 8 August 2007 at 10:00 a.m. local time at the 193rd SOW Civil Engineering building. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220. All amendments, site visit minutes, and questions will be posted on the web. There a re no charges for the plans and specifications. No facsimile or electronic proposals are authorized. All questions for the pre-proposal conference must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) to the contracting office. This address will also be pro vided in the solicitation. The solicitation closing date is scheduled for on-or-about 3 September 2007. Actual dates and times will be identified in the solicitation. Interested offerors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database.
