- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for supplies prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are bei ng requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Reference number F6T3DC7116A100 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circu lar 2001-25. This solicitation is set aside for small business; the associated NAICS code is 423430 and small business size standard is 100 employees. This requirement is for the purchase of network backup software and hardware as follows: Line item 1 10 EA Microsoft NT-backup integrated backup application. Microsoft Ntbackup in integrated into Microsoft server products but is a complex, difficult to configure and problematic. Numerous companies make add on software that makes managing thi s built in Nt-backup much easier. Backup assist is one proven product. Line item 2- 2 EA Microsoft NTbackup integrated backup application. NTFS and SQL capable. Same answer as above but including the ability to back up and recover Microsoft SQL data bases. Line item 3 2 EA Microsoft NT-backup integrated backup application. NTFS and Exchange capable. Same answer as above but including the ability to back up and recover exchange data bases and mailboxes. Line item 4 13 EA PCI/PCI-X SATA Hard drive controllers with external E-SATA and USB 2.0 connectors. Minimum of one of each type connector. Must be compatible with Dell 2900 power edge and HP DL series servers. Line item 5 13 EA External stand alone 500GB SATA hard drives with enclosures having a minimum of one each E-SATA and USB external connectors. Line item 6 1 EA External stand alone 2TB SATA hard drive with enclosure having a minimum of one each E-SATA and USB external connectors. Line item 7 200 USB 2.0 Desktop IDE 3.5 inch hard drive carriers (Cases). Plug and play. Must not require third party or additional software to function. Suggested product is Coolmax HD-338D-U2 or equivalent.
