Description
FED BIZ OPPS NOTICE Close Quarters Battle Kit, Multi-Magazine Holder Solicitation W15QKN-07-R-0427 US Army Joint Munitions and Lethality, Life Cycle Management Command (JM&L, LCMC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager Soldier Weapons, has interest in procuring a Multi-Magazine Holder. The Government will invite each offeror to submit fifteen (15) each bid samples (at no cost or obligation to the Government) for bid sample testing (BST) and evaluation, in response to a Request for Proposal (RFP) which is to be posted on or about 03 August 2007, with a closing date on or about 04 September 2007. The RFP will be issued as a Small Business Set-Aside, and shall result in a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract. Interested Small Business vendors will have an equal opportunity to submit fifteen (15) each bid samples, along with supporting written proposal materials for evaluation. The RFP will clearly state each of the requirements, and will evaluate how well each candidate meets the Physical and Performance Characteristics outlined in the RFP. The RFP will be available for downloading from the following website located at http://procnet.pica.army.mil/ The item is envisioned to be a commercial off-the-shelf item(COTS). The item must currently be in production, as developmental items are not permitted. The Multi-Magazine Holder shall mount two standard, 5.56mm 30 round magazines together. The Multi-Magazine Holder shall weigh less than four (4) ounces. Attaching the Multi-Magazine Holder shall not require any special tools to add, remove or adjust the magazines. The Multi-Magazine Holder shall have a storage pouch which will hold the Multi-Magazine Holder with two magazines attached. The storage pouch will be MOLLE and ALICE compatible. ALICE clips shall be provided by the offeror. The Multi-Magazine Holder pouch shall hold the two (2) Multi-Magazine Holder attached magazines in operational configuration. The Multi-Magazine Holder shall have ability to easily remove and replace the configured magazines from the pouch once stored. The Multi-Magazine Holder shall not have any sharp edges or pinch points that could cause injury to the user or damage NBC protective clothing and equipment worn or carried by the user. The Multi-Magazine Holder shall not interfere with the weapon operation/manipulation. The Multi-Magazine Holder storage pouch shall have a tan, grey-green, gray, or taupe coating, which will support various camouflage combinations and minimize infrared and radar signatures, and constructed of synthetic, water resistant rapid drying soft material. The contractor must be able to sustain a delivery schedule with a minimum of 4,583 Multi-Magazine Holder units per month, with the potential capability to increase to a maximum of 22,917 per month. The primary delivery destination shall be Red River Defense Distribution Depot, Texarkana, TX. However, the Government will reserve the right to place orders with alternate delivery destinations.
