- On or about 24 July 2007, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the Governor Pumps and Filters, Garrison Powerhouse, Garrison Dam, ND. The solicitation will close on or about 24 August 2007. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED AND OPEN TO BOTH LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. Contractors interested in inspecting the site of the proposed work should contact Dale Evenson, PO Box 527, Riverdale, ND 58565 CENWO-OD-GA-T, Phone Number 701/654-7441 x3220 DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. Project Description: (Approx. quantities) The work consists of construction of furnishing, shop test, prepare and load for shipment, deliver and install, and field test new governor pumps and motors and kidney loop filter and heaters for Units 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 at the Garrison Powerhouse, and to r emove and dispose of the existing governor pumps and motors at the Garrison Powerhouse. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work by the fall of 2008. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Obtaining Solicitation Documents: This office will no longer send copies via paper or CDs of amendments and solicitations to interested parties. Solicitation documents will be posted on Federal Technical Data Solutions or FedTeDS. FedTeDS is a web-based d issemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information. When solicitation documents have been issued and posted to FedTeDs, synopsis or pre-solicitation notice will be amended and a link provided to access FedTeDS in note 2 below. The pro cess to download from FedTeDS is: 1. Find solicitation announcement in Fed Biz Opps at: www.fbo.gov 2. Once you open the solicitation announcement on Fed Biz Opps, there will be a link provided to the solicitation on FedTeDS. Click on the link. 3. Once you have the solicitation open, you can begin downloading the various files to your location.
