- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation shall be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/). The RFQ number is N00244-07-T-0716. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-18 and DFARS Change Notice 20070531. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The NAICS code is 333315 and the Small Business Standard is 500 employees. This is a sole source action with Vicon Moti on Systems, Inc., Lake Forest, CA. The components will be used with existing system cameras and must be compatible with the existing equipment and will require integration support and other critical features. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center San Diego, Seal Beach Detachment is in need of the following: CLIN 0001-4 each, Motion Capture System Components, 25M MX Camera Cable, CLIN 0002- 1 each, Blade Software, CLIN 0003-1 each, Reference Video Software client and server software, CLIN 0004-1 each, Reference Video Server Hardware, CLIN 0005-2 each, Panasonic MiniDV 3.1 MegaPixel Digital Camcorder, CLIN 0006-2 each, Bogen Pan/Tilt Head, CLIN 0007-2 each, Manfrotto Medium Tripod, CLIN 0008, 2 each, 15? 6 Pin Firewire to active repeater cable, CLIN 0009-1 each, MX Control component, CLIN 0010-1 each Mk3 System calibration kit, CLIN 0011-1 each, On-site Training and Installation, CLIN 0012-1 each, Capture PC. FOB destination delivery to the Naval Postgraduate School, Monte rey, CA 93940. Estimated delivery is 14 days. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requi rement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within three days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. Quoters must be registered in the CCR database. Registration is free and can be completed on-line at http://www.ccr.gov/. In addition, quoters shall complete an electronic Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
