- This publication serves as notice of intent to procure supplies for the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Environmental, Satellite, Data & Information Service (NESDIS) located in Fairbanks, AK on a sole source basis with Mu-Del Electronics, Inc. in accordance with the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 ( c)(1) only one responsible source. The government intends to acquire supplies using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Purpose of proposed contract is for purchase of qty one (1) each Down Converter, Mu-Del Model MDC-1627F1K7-7 and qty of one (1) each Up Converter, Mu-Del Model MUC-7-1627F1K. These equipments are exact replacements for existing units installed in NOAA NESDIS Office in Fairbanks, AK. The government intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract with delivery date of no later than Sept 28, 2007, FOB destination to NOAA NESDIS Office in Fairbanks Alaska. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quote. However, all price quotes received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is a small purchase action estimated value of less than $100,000.00. ****The Western Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as of October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number.
