- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to BioCrest Manufacturing, Cedar Creek, TX. The purchase order is for the purpose of providing MX3005P QPCR System w/Notebook, Premier Biosoft Beacon and One (1) year service contract w/loaner. Stratagene is the sole manufacturer of the Mx3005P system and BioCrest is the Exclusive Distributor of Stratagene Products. The authority for this sole source is FAR 6-302-1- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Classification System Code is 325414. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, firms that believe they can provide the above named products need to submit a written notification of interest and capability to the Contracting Specialist within 15 days from the publication date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
