Description
This is an amendment to correct the soliciation number which now reads HSGC35-07-Q-EIR005. However; the correct number is HSCG35-07-Q-EIR005. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and no other written solicitation WILL be issued. This combined synopsis constitutes a solicitation and incorporates provisions and clause in effect through FAC 2005-12. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) code is 333518; size standard of employee is 500. The Request for Quote number is HSCG35-07-Q-EIR005. The Government proposes to solicit quotes with the intent of issuing a contract form a Summit 20?x120 Gap Bed Engine Lathe. Evaluation will be based on best value criteria. The Contract will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR part 13.1. Summit 20? x 120 Gap Bed Engine Lathe, 4 -1/8 Hole through spindle, 10HP 208-480v 3-phase motor, 15 speed Norton control box (11.5 1400 RPM). Gear box oil bathed capable of cutting most all standard and metric threads w/out changing gears. Gear splined shafts shall be of hardened and ground alloy steel, precision fitted for ease of shifting and mounted in high precision anti-friction bearings. Gear box shall be totally enclosed w/quire change feed ability. Carriage assembly shall have extended cross slide for accommodation of special tooling, tracer attachments, ect. Carriage shall be equipped with heavy duty taper attachment capable of cutting tapers of + or 0 degrees up to 15-3/4 inches long and graduated in degrees. Bedway shall be constructed of high grade alloyed cast iron, normalized and aged to achieve maximum stability. The design features shall have heavy cross ribbing for ridgity and vibration dampening and utilize hardened and ground bedways.
