Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to negotiate on a sole source base under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1 with Kosma Mobile X-Ray for the provision of a mobile x-ray service. Services to be provided include after-hour, weekend and holiday emergency service for routine x-ray exams, excluding Nuclear Medicine, CT and Ultrasounds for the Radiology Department at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, 1900 W. Sunshine Street, Springfield, Missouri, 65807. The services will be provided Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. and 24 hour coverage on Saturday, Sunday, and Federal Holidays. The contract type will be an indefinite delivery/requirements type contract. The solicitation will be restricted to 100% Small Business, FOB Destination, and is a firm-fixed price contract. The contract performance period shall consisted of a twelve month base period and four 12 month options for renewal. The estimated quantities for the base period and each option year is 19 service calls each year. A service call is defined as a single patient call. All technical personnel must be graduates of an AMA accredited Radiology school and registered with the ARRT. Any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by August 6, 2007, 2 P.M. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed above and show that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source acquisition to Kosma Mobile X-Ray. All vendors are hereby notified that if your response is not received by the date and time specified in this notice, it will not be considered.
