- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs VA Medical Center Battle Creek MI is soliciting sources and anticipates awarding a contract for the construction project known as "Replace Road Curbs and Gutters Phase IV." The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 (SEALED BIDDING) and 36 (Construction) and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. The solicitation will be advertised as a 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The resultant contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and travel to provide construction and make alterations to roads, parking lots, pavement markings, walks, grading, drainage and storm sewers for Shafter Circle and Parking Lots located at the medical facility. The location of the work will be at the VA Medical Center Battle Creek MI 49015. The period of performance shall be 150 days. Magnitude of construction is expected to be between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. NAICS Code: 237310 - Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction. The solicitation documents will be issued on approximately Monday August 13, 2007. The solicitation will be posted to www.fedbizopps.gov and will include the project specifications and drawings for electronic download. Instructions will be provided to obtain hard copy prints if needed. Site visit and pre-bid conference information will be provided upon issuance of solicitation. Only one site visit is planned. Bids will be due 30 days after issuance of solicitation. Important Information: The Government will in no way be obligated to issue a solicitation or award a contract for the aforementioned work, and is providing this as information only. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR located on the web at www.ccr.gov). All Offerors classifed as either Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses must also be registered in the Vet Biz Registry located at vip.vetbiz.gov.
