- Description
- Furnish architectural/engineering professional services required to provide facility investigations, working drawings, cost estimate and construction period services for the construction project entitled: Correct HVAC Deficiencies B20, Project Number 575-08-107ES. All design shall be consistent with the standards as set by the VA Master Specifications, NEC, IBC and NFPA. Drawings to be provided in ACDLT and pdf format. Specifications be provided in Word format. Scope of Work: The HVAC ductwork serving the patient rooms of B20 is a return air system and does not meet VA design standards for domiciliary and nursing homes. The HVAC system is thirty years old and is a constant volume system. The Architect/Engineer (A/E) will be expected to provide a design. possibly utilizing existing ductwork and mechanical components, to provide 100% exhaust from the conditioned air spaces of patient rooms. The A/E shall also review and investigate the existing system's components such as control system and reheat, steam and cooling coils, providing an upgraded HVAC that improves energy efficiency. This procurement is set-aside for Veteran Owned Small Business in accordance with Public Law 109-461. NAICS is 541330 Small Business Size Standard of $4.5 million.
