- This is a Sources Sought Announcement only. It is not a solicitation announcement. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, Ann Arbor, Michigan is issuing this sources sought notice to gain knowledge of and determine the interests and capabilities of Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses and Veteran Owned Small Businesses firms with regard to construction services for Dental Renovation at this facility. This project will renovate approximately 4300 S.F. of space located on the 2nd Floor of Building 1 West, to accommodate the expansion of the current Dental Suite. The work includes: General demolition, asbestos abatement, interior construction (walls, doors, floor and wall finishes, suspended acoustical ceilings, casework etc), plumbing (waste, water, medical gases, lab gases, fire protection modifications, etc), electrical (new power panel, conduit, wiring, fire alarm modifications, general and surgical light fixtures) and certain other items. Work involves multiple phases, work outside normal working hours and completion time of 285 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost range for this project is $250,000 to $500,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 236220 ($31 million). All eligible firms expressing interest in being considered for any resultant solicitation must provide the following information: Company name; address; point of contact; phone, fax and e-mail; your firms current bonding capacity; your firms specific experience working as the prime contractor on a project of similar scope; brief description of company; technical and financial capabilities; business size; DUNS number; Tax ID Number and VetBiz registry (located at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/). Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. The Government will in no way be obligated to issue a solicitation or award a contract for the aforementioned work and is providing this as information only. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued.
