- C - Architect/Engineering Services Sources Sought Notice Laura Silguero, Contracting Officer - 414-902-5417 Provide Professional Architectural Engineering Design services to Renovate Inpatient Medicine Ward, 8th Floor at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. This work includes preparation of drawings, specifications and cost estimates for all facets of work and trades necessary to facilitate award of construction contract to renovate approximately 21,000 sq.ft. of space in Bldg. #200, 8th Floor. Work to include but is not limited to, demolition of the entire area, except for plumbing, mechanical and electrical chases, removal and replacement of walls, door, flooring, ceiling tiles, plumbing, electrical work, signage, fire protection and HVAC work. Asbestos abatement is part of this project. A/E must include CIH involvement regarding items such as Asbestos and lead in working drawings, specifications and construction period services. Construction Period Services and site visits during construction are part of the scope. Estimated construction cost is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Area of consideration is restricted to 100 miles of the Hines VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. Submit two (2) copies of SF 330 with appropriate documentation by close of business August 24, 2007. Selection criteria will be based on: (1) specialized experience and technical competence of the firm (including a joint venture or association) with the type of design required, (2) specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project, (3) Professional capacity of the firm in the designated geographic area of the project to perform work, (4) Past record of performance on contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs, (5) Geographic location and facilities of the working office. The Small Business Standard is $4.5 million. No bid packages are available. This is not a Request For Proposal (RFP). NAIC #541310 applies. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
