- Description
- Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC)-Perry Point, MD, is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Architecture/Engineering services for an A/E to provide design to prepare construction documents (CD's) for the "Boiler Replacement" project at Perry Point, MD. NAICS Code 541310, size standard $4.5 million. Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials to provide A/E services as described in the Scope of Work, Qualifications and Services. Replacement is to be phased such that no more than two boilers are replaced per phase. All work shall closely adhere to the VA Master Specifications and to the VA Design Manual for Steam Generation. It will also include design and instructions to remove and properly dispose of any old Demolished Pipe, insulation and other associated material. Instructions will address any Hazardous material disposal and include any required testing of said material. Plans shall include methods to accomplish work while leaving the Existing Distribution System in operation except for brief periods necessary to tie into working systems. A/E contract will include site investigation, design (with reviews), cost estimates, reproduction of bid documents, construction period services, final inspections and as-built drawings (required in AutoCad 2004 format) on CD as well as Mylar originals). Estimated cost range for this solicitation is $100,000 to $250,000. Area of consideration: This is a 100% Small Business Disabled Veterans Owned Set Aside. Potential contractors must be registered in CCR (www.ccr.gov) and VetBiz (www.vetbiz.gov) at time of submission of their qualifications in order to be considered for an award. Firms must be within 100 miles radius, of the VAMC-Perry Point, MD. Please submit your qualifications and past performance data on SF 330 (architecture-engineer qualifications); and for any consultants, to be used, on SF 330 sections E and F.
