- The solicitation is restricted to HUBZone businesses only. This acquisition is to install a 400 KW Standby Generator Set, manual transfer switch, construct concrete slab and chain link fence at building 476. The location of the work in on Homestead Air Reserve Base, Homestead, FL approximately 35 mile south of Miami, FL: This work consist of, but is not limited, (1) providing a 400 KW Onan generator or equal with voltage selector switch for 277/480 three phase to 120/208 three phase and common output wired to CCI supplied with circuit breaker, (2) removing portion of existing underground duct bank (service lateral) to install new transfer switch conduits and wires, (3) constructing a concrete slab floor with four eye- anchor rods to tie down a trailer container and a transfer switch concrete pad south of building 4475, (4) install a chain link fence and two swing gates with privacy plastic vertical slats, and (5) install transfer switch on existing service lateral of building 476 in accordance with the scope of work, specifications, drawings, national electrical codes, OSHA and environmental protection standards. The acquisition shall be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price type contract with a magnitude is between $250K and $500K. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 24 Aug 2007 and Pre-bid Site Visit will be held on or about 27 Aug 2007.
