- This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for the following commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. All responses to this Solicitation/Request for Quote (RFQ) must make reference to Solicitation Number FA2816-07-T-0013. This acquisition is set-aside for Small Businesses. The North American Industry Code (NAIC) associated with this requirement is 611610. Los Angeles Air Force Base has a requirement for a Music Instructor, Contract Line Item Number 0001. The contractor shall plan and lead music activities for the Child Development Center (CDC), Los Angeles Air Force Base (LAAFB), El Segundo, California and at the LAAFB Youth Center at Ft. MacArthur, San Pedro, California. The contractor shall lead musical songs, instrumental music making, movement, and musical games for pre-school aged and elementary children?s classes at the Child Development Center Day Camp program. Five-Afternoon Summer Rock/Jazz Workshop at the Youth Center. The Contractor shall assist musicians (focus on teens, all ages welcome) in developing skills for performing and improvising over selected musical examples. The Contractor will provide 5 (five) hours of classes (including transition time) between 0900 hrs and 1100 hrs on Thursday mornings for an average of 3 (Three) weeks per month. Summer Youth Day Camp Music Hour: The contractor will provide one hour of musical activities for the elementary age group between 1300 hrs and 1400 hrs for 3 Thursdays in Sept 2007 and 3 Thursdays in October 2007. A session may be rescheduled to Monday when Thursday is not possible. Five-Afternoon Summer Rock/Jazz Workshop: The Contractor shall provide music students in sessions from 1400 hrs to 1600 hrs, five consecutive afternoons from Monday through Friday. CDC Music sessions will be held in CDC classrooms and common area. Youth Center Elementary Music Hour: Day Camp Music Hour will be held at Youth Center facilities at Fort Mac. The proposed contract shall be for a one 12 month Base period (20 August 2007 ? 19 August 2008). Service to be accessed from LAAFB, EL Segundo CA 90245 and Ft Mac.
