Description

This posting constitutes the United States Military Academys (USMA) notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Central Hudson Energy Group, 284 South Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Central Hudson shall provide emergency repairs on the hig h-voltage electrical distribution system and the natural gas distribution system as needed twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, including Federal holidays. Central Hudson is the only public utility within a reasonable response distance. T he Contractor shall make every effort to assure that the maximum duration of any single interruption is no longer than eight (8) hours for natural gas, five (5) hours for splicing and fourteen (14) hours for pulling electrical cable. The period of perform ance is from October 1, 2007 to September 30, 2010. The award amount is estimated to be $75,000. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304 (c)(1). The applicable NAICS codes are 221210 (gas) and 221122 (electric). This notice of intent is not a request for quotation or a solicitation of offers. Interested parties may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the designated representative. Responses to this notice must be rece ived within three (3) calendar days of the date of this notice via e-mail to Karen.Finley@usma.edu. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, upon receipt of response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Governme nt. There will be no solicitation available.
