- This project is being competed only among the design-build contractors within the MATOC pool which was established by the Corps of Engineers Mobile District. The contractors are: Caddell Construction Co., Inc., 2700 Lagoon Park Drive, Montgomery, A L; Carothers Construction, Inc., 7084 County Road 436, Water Valley, MS; CH2M Hill Facilities & Infrastructure, Inc., 9191 South Jamaica Street, Englewood, CO; B. L. Harbert International, LLC, 820 Shades Creek Parkway, Suite 34000, Birmingham, AL; Sauer I ncorporated DBA Sauer Southeast, 11223 Phillips Parkway Drive, Jacksonville, FL; Speegle Construction, Inc., 210 Government Avenue, Niceville, FL; and Whitesell-Green/Yates, A Joint Venture, 987 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, MS. Description of the work: Constru ct a standard design company operations facility (COF) complex for four (4) companies at Fort Stewart, Ga. Primary facilities include: 55,058 SF company operations facilities complex to house four (4) companies, 39,031 SF vehicle maintenance shop, 18,000 SF vehicle maintenance shop, 19,000 SF 48-man Enlisted Barracks, 7,998 SF Covered Hardstand, 15,000 SY Privately Owned Vehicle (POV) Parking, and 19,270 SY Organizational Vehicle Parking. Provide installation of intrusion detection system (IDS), energy monitoring and control system (EMCS) connections, fire alarm detection, mass notification system, automatic building sprinklers and force protection (FP) measures. Supporting facilities include electricity; security lighting; water sewer, and natural gas services; fire protection; paving, POV parking areas, service roads, walks, curbs and gutters; storm drainage; information system; lighting protection systems; site improvement include approximately 150K CF of demolition, landscaping and anti-terrorism (AF ) measures. AT/FP will be provided by use of setbacks, special windows and doors. Comprehensive building and furnishings related to interior design services are required. Access for individuals with disabilities will be provided in public areas.
