- THIS PROCUREMENT IS A COMPETITIVE 8(a) SET-ASIDE. COMPETITION IS LIMITED TO CERTIFIED 8(a) FIRMS LOCATED WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHIC AREA SERVICED BY THE SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, MISSISSIPPI DISTRICT OFFICE, AND HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED THE NAICS CODE OF 237990 AMONG THOSE APPROVED FOR 8(a) PARTICIPATION. ALL OTHER FIRMS ARE DEEMED INELIGBLE TO BID. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing the complete and operational Lower Mississippi River Museum and R iverfront Interpretive Site, located in the downtown area of Vicksburg, Mississippi. Principal features of work include temporary project fencing, demolition, excavation, fill, backfill, asphaltic concrete parking areas, pavement markings, sidewalks, drai nage system, irrigation system, sodding, exterior plants, site furnishings, exterior signage, exterior lighting, closed circuit television systems, fire detection and alarm system, fire protection sprinkler system, intrusion detection systems, MSE retainin g walls, observation deck, connector bridge, pedestrian plaza, the complete museum building and appurtenances and all associated work, museum exhibits, all mechanical and electrical systems, all other work required at the site and all work incidental there to, and environmental protection. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Bidders may register on the Interested Vendors List (IVL) at http://www.fbo.gov and retrieve an IVL from the same location. Compact discs and hardcopies will not be available.
