- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to initiate a commercial item procurement for security guard services for the Fort Mifflin Project Office, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This procurement will be awarded for a base year plus four option years. The base year shall commence on 1 November 2007 through 31 October 2008. The acquisition will be a best-value procurement using the lowest price, technically acceptable source selection process and the procurement process prescrib ed in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The evaluation factors that establish the requirements of acceptability are as follows: PAST PERFORMANCE: 1. Demonstration of at least three (3) years of ex?perience in security guard services. Provid e contract numbers, brief descriptions, point of contacts and phone numbers of all previous accounts. 2. Demonstration of at least three (3) years of ex?perience in security guard services for the federal government. Provide contract numbers, brief desc riptions, point of contacts and phone numbers of all previous accounts. A site visit will be conducted on Wednesday, 8 August 2007 at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Mifflin Project Office, 8402 Island Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19153-3808. Offeror s can contact either Mr. Harry Faulls or /Mr. Jack Hofbauer at 215-365-1892/0342 to register for the site visit. RFQ No. W912BU-07-T-0072 will be available on or about 1 August 2007. Solicitation documents, plans, and specifications will only be availabl e via the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) homepage https://www.fedteds.gov. Interested parties must register as a Vendor with FedTeDs before accessing the system. In order to register as a Vendor in FedTeDs, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system (http://www.ccr.gov). Interested offerors can access the data for this solicitation through the hyperlink established in the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) system (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) annou ncement, which will redirect to the solicitation-specific data in FedTeDs. Registration for updates to plans and specifications should be made on the FedBizOpps webpage for this solicitation. The FedTeDs system does not allow for offerors to perform a se arch for solicitation data. All searches can be performed through the FedBizOpps system. Offers will be due on 17 August 2007 at 11:15 a.m. ET and must be mailed to USACE, Philadelphia District. Offerors are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation. Hard copies will not be available. This procurement is 100% HUBZone Set-ASide. The NAICS Code is 561612 with a size standard of $17 million. Affirmative action to ensure equal employment opportunity is applicable to the resulting contract. Award will be made as a whole to one offeror.
