- This is a notice by the Center for Health Care Contracting (CHCC), to award a purchase order for non-personal services support by an accredited college or university for the U.S. Army Medical Department Center and School (AMEDD C&S), Fort Sam Houston , Texas. The reprocurement will be a sole source, Firm Fixed Price Contract for one year with the George Washington University, 2121 Eye Street, Washington DC 20052-2000, the historical provider of services, to allow time to compete a longer term contract , under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (d)(1)(B), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B). The contractor shall provide the AMEDD C&S the means to meet certain requirements for accreditation of a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences with a m ajor in Cytotechnology. The period of performance will be 1 August 2007 through 31 July 2008, with no options. The solicitation will be issued on or about 26 July 2007. The North American Industrial Code System (NAICS) code is 611310. FedBizOpps, Note 22 applies, which states The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
