THIS IS NOT A SET-ASIDE ACQUISITION. THIS RFP IS OPEN TO BOTH LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. AWARD WILL BE PROCESSED PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 6, Lakewood, Colorado is requesting proposals from qualified and eligible firms capable of furnishing all labor, parts, tools, equipment, transportation and incidentals needed to perform dike rehabilitation and demolition work at the Mumm well lateral water control structure and dike at the Alamosa National Wildlife Refuge, Colorado. Rehabilitation work includes but is not limited to furnishing and installing new geo-grid materials to stabilize an existing dike road, install new gravel to resurface an existing dike road, installation of new rock riprap embankment stabilization and finished grading. Work at the water control structure will include but not be limited to demolishing and removing the existing stock tank, furnish and installation of a new cast-in-place reinforced concrete water control structure and finished grading. All work shall be done in strict accordance with the solicitation plans and specifications. Work will be accomplished at the Alamosa National Wildlife Refuge which is located in Alamosa County, CO. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The total performance period is 90 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is open to both large and small business concerns. The NAICS code 237990 and small business size standard is $31 Million. The solicitation package is anticipated to available electronically on/or about August 9, 2007 with an anticipated closing date of September 10, 2007. This will be a best value type of acquisition in which the Government reserves the right to award to other than the low priced offeror. Past Performance and Experience will be considered approximately equal as to Price. Copies of the RFP, specifications and drawings can be obtained at www.fbo.gov once available for issuance.
