- In support of the American Forces Network Broadcast Center (AFN-BC), the Defense Media Center Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to The Harris Corporation, Broadcast Communications Division, for annual license and continuing service for the Harris ADC100 Automation System. The period of performance is 01 Aug 2007 to 31 July 2008. The Harris ADC100 television automation system is a proprietary television program automation system that is designed and produced for use within the commercial broadcast television industry. The complete system encompasses both hardware and software components. The Automation system service and support includes maintenance support for both the hardware and software components. Work will be performed at the Defense Media Center, Riverside CA. This announcement constitutes the only notice, a written solicitation will not be issued. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received by the closing date specified in the presolicitation notice. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
