- Sent to FED-BIZ-OPPS on 7/30/07 This is a notice that the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1), a sole source purchase order with Alter-G Inc., 1090A O'Brien Drive, Menlo Park, CA 94025. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice in conjunction with procedures in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and a written solicitation will not be issued. VAPAHCS, Palo Alto, CA has a requirement to procure the following items for their Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Unit. The equipment required is an Alter-G Trainer which provides the following attributes: 1. Unrestricted mobility providing normal gait, stride length, bounding, high heel-return/leg kick and normal positioning. 2. Granular variable adjustment provides for adjustment in weight "unweighting" in 1% increments from full body weight, to 20% of body weight. 3. "On the fly" adjustments. During use, all variables (speed, incline and weight ("unweighting") can be adjusted on-the-fly. Delivery location is VA Medical Center, Warehouse, Building 50, 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, California 94304-1290. This notice is not a request for proposal or a solicitation for offers. The NAICS code is 339920 and the size standards is 100 employees. Provisions and Clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-15. The follow Solicitation Provisions/Contract Clauses are applicable: FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (Sep 2005), FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (Sept 2006). For the purpose of this clause items (b) 5, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 24 with Alt I, and 32 are considered checked and apply, and VAAR 852.270-4 Commercial Advertising (Nov 1984).
