- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial service prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ) number DE-RQ65-07WA35948. The solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses which are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular No. 2005-17. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 541519 and the business size is $23 Million. A fixed-price award is anticipated and all qualified responsible sources may submit a proposal. This procurement is being solicited under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. Western Area Power Administration (Western) has a requirement for maintenance on its EMC Storage Area Network hardware and software system. A full description of all the components is attached to this announcement. The Period of Performance is one (1) year from September 29, 2007. Proposals should be prepared in accordance with FAR clause 52.212-01, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items. The offer shall also include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. The following clauses are applicable to this acquisition: 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. The following addenda is added to this solicitation: FAR Clauses 52.222-3, 52.222-21, 52-222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-13, 52-232-33, 52.239-1 and WAPA LH.0000-0078. Low price is the basis for award. The full texts of FAR clauses are available at www.arnet.gov/. The full texts of any other clauses may be obtained by contacting Ray Lewis, Contract Specialist. Representations and Certifications, including business size are due by 4:00 P.M. MST, July 30, 2007. All contractors are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) in order to be eligible for an award from this office. Registration and additional information for CCR is available at http://www.ccr.gov/. In order to register with CCR, offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number.
