Description

Contractor to furnish all materials and perform all labor necessary for completion of the following work at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 601 Hwy 6 West, Iowa City, Iowa, 52246: Demolition and reconstruction necessary to remodel the Main Entrance, adjoining corridor, lobby and several rooms in strict accordance with the plans, specifications, and manufacturer's installation instructions for Project 636A8-07-701, entitled "Renovate Main Entrance" at the Iowa City VA Medical Center. Cost range is expected to be within $250,000 and $500,000. NAICS code 236220, size standard 31 million. This procurement is 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set-aside. Electronic solicitation documents to include Invitation for Bid, Contract Forms, specifications, and drawings will be made available in electronic format only through the VA's portion of Federal Business Opportunities web site at: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Solicitation material will also be provided to the following sources where hard copies may be reviewed or obtained for a fee: Construction Update Plan Room, 5850 6th St., SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404. It is recommended that you complete the solicitation mailing list on the website before downloading the solicitation. Any amendments issued to this solicitation and bidder's mailing list will only be available on the website. Contractors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all amendments. The solicitation will be available on Aug 15, 2007. Bid opening date is September 17, 2007, at 2:00PM, local time. Bid bonds will be required.
