Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Portland, Oregon, has a requirement for fence maintenance and ungulate control within units 6 and 7 of the Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge. There is approximately 20,000 feet of existing fence and approximately 24,000 feet of existing fence to maintain within these units, including the remove of feral ungulates. Project will last for one year and includes the maintenance/repair of boundary fence each month, inspecting snares and collecting GPS waypoint data. The refuge will supply fence materials and snares and the contractor will supply everything else (transportation, equipment labor, etc.). The refuge is located approximately 45 road miles (30 miles paved, 15 miles unpaved) in a westerly direction from Hilo, Hawaii. Units 6 and 7 are located 2 miles from the Refuge entrance. Driving time is approximately 2 ? hours from Hilo Hawaii. This will be a "best value" procurement with award based on technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government's requirement and price. Technical capability is significantly more important than price. The solicitation response date will be approximately 16 days from posting date. No further notice will be posted on Fedbizopps.
