- Description
- The United States Government desires to lease approximately 8,395 rentable square feet of office space, yielding 7,300 usable square feet within the following boundaries for Merrillville, IN: NORTH: Calumet River to Interstate 90 SOUTH: U.S. 30 EAST: Interstate 65 WEST: Interstate 65 U.S. Government is seeking first-class office space. The space must be fully serviced and altered to meet the Federal Government's standards for Fire Safety and Handicapped Accessibility. The space offered must be contiguous on one floor. Secure parking for 25 parking spaces must be provided in a fenced enclosure. The current Government lease will expire in the near future. The Government is interested in considering alternate space if economically advantageous to the Government. In determining whether relocation would be economically advantageous to the Government, the General Services Administration will consider cost factors including, but not limited to, the total cost of the physical move including telecommunications equipment, LAN systems, office furniture (conventional and system furniture workstations) and telephone systems. Occupancy is desired by September 1, 2007. The lease term will be for 10 years, 5 years firm. The General Services Administration does not use tenant brokers to represent the Government in lease negotiations. Brokers or agents may represent the prospective landlord but any properties or proposals submitted by brokers/agents must be accompanied by written evidence they are authorized to represent the building's ownership.
