Description

Solicitation number W31P4Q-07-Q-0026 is being extended from 12:00 noon on August 1, 2007 to 5:00 pm August 8, 2007. The US Army Aviation and Missile Command intends to issue a sole source contract for the repair of Joint Tactical Information Distrib ution System (JTIDS) Blower/Power Conditioners with IMC Magnetics Corporation. The contractor shall evaluate, clean, rework/repair, or otherwise return to like-new working condition, two (2) JTIDS Blower/Power Conditioners received from Redstone Arsenal f or repair. This work shall consist of the following: evaluating units, determining root cause of failure/corrective action, tearing down units and cleaning, replace/repair circuit card assemblies (CCAs), replace broken or worn hardware, unit reassembly, a nd retesting to standard operating conditions. CLIN 0001 will be for the above stated repair work. Shipping costs for delivery shall be included in the quote as FOB destination for Redstone Arsenal, AL. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency, if received by 8 August 2007, 5 pm (CST). Any award resulting from this RFQ will be issued on Standard Form 1449 and will contain all clauses required by law, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and the Defense Fed eral Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) as appropriate for the dollar value of the award. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The solicitation/ resulting contract include the following provisions/clauses: Provisio n 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial; Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items; Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items; and Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Require d to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, are applicable to this acquisition. Offer is due not later than 5 pm (CST), 8 August 2007, in the contracting office, Building 5400, Room B148, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, 35898-5250. Intereste d organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 5 pm (CST) on 8 August 2007. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of d etermining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
