Description
The purpose of this amendment is to: [1] extend the deadline for offerors' written proposals to subject solicitation from Friday, 03 August 2007, at 12:00 PM CST, to Friday, 03 August 2007 at 4:30 PM CST; [2] make the following changes to Attachment 001, Performance Description (PD) for Combat IDentification (CID) Targets: Section 3.2.1.2 Battery Power on/off, is changed to read - Each target shall power off thermal elements after being idle for two (2) hours. An up/down cycle shall be allowed to turn each CID target on after an idle period of two (2) hours or more. Once an up/down cycle has been completed, CID targets shall require no more than five (5) minutes to reach their realistic thermal signature. This replaces Section 3.2.1.2 as it was origina lly written; Section 3.2.1.3 Hardwired Power on/off is added to Attachment 001, PD for CID Targets, and reads as follows: Once the range has been powered on, CID targets shall require no more than five (5) minutes to reach their realistic thermal signature ; Section 3.2.2 is changed to read - The target shall replicate the actual variations in temperature of infantry and vehicle targets as depicted in the drawings in Appendix A. CID targets shall present their realistic thermal signature when the target reac hes the up position. Stationary Infantry Targets (SITs) and Moving Infantry Targets (MITs) raise the target in 0.5 seconds and Stationary Armor Targets (SATs) and Moving Armor Targets (MATs) raise a target in seven (7) seconds. The various temperatures of a targets thermal signature shall be maintained within 90% the entire time the target is positioned in the up position. Reverse polarity methods shall not be allowed. This replaces Section 3.2.2 as it was originally written; [3] Attachment 005, Section L, Instructions to Offerors, paragraph 7, Limited Written Technical Proposal, is changed to add 3.2.1.3 Hardwired Power on/off to the list of PD paragraphs and subparagraphs that must be addressed by offerors' Limited Written Technical Proposal.
