- Title of this project is West Chewuch Road Chip Seal for the Okanogan and Wenatchee National Forest. The NAICS code is 237310, size standard is $31.0 million. This procurement is Set-aside for HUBZone competition only. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, tools and transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specifications and drawings. This project consists of bituminous asphalt chip seal application. The existing road is approximately 1.93 miles long, 20 feet wide, and has an existing bituminous cement (asphalt) surface. The chip seal application will be a single chip layer with MC-800 cutback asphalt. The project is located on the Methow Valley Ranger District of the Okanogan & Wenatchee National Forests. The project is located on the Chewuch Road, Road 5100, and approximately seven miles north of Winthrop, WA. The project begins at the forest boundary and ends at the Eight Mile Ranch sno-park. Estimated issue date for the solicitation is on or about August 16, 2007. Proposals will be due on or about September 14, 2007. The construction magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. This acquisition will result in a firm fixed price contract. This project will be advertised as a written request for proposal. An electronic copy of the solicitation will be posted at this site on the issue date. Interested sources are required to download a copy of the solicitation, attachments, and amendments. No paper copies of the solicitation, amendments, or other notices will be mailed.
