- Description
- This is a pre-solicitation announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to provide preliminary information prior to the posting of the solicitation for bids which will occur on Aug 17, 2007. A sources sought announcement for this project was previously posted on April 19, 2007. The project entitled Correct Patient Life Safety Deficiencies will be advertised forthwith. Project entails demolition, general construction, alterations, concrete and masonry, mechanical and electrical work. This is a three part project: Part 1 encompasses Building 83 & 84 stair replacement. Part 2 encompasses Building 39 replacements of HVAC Grilles, including the replacement and security of existing lighting fixtures, receptacles, and access panels in patient rooms. Part 3 encompasses facility wide replacement of corroded sprinkler heads. Included in the scope of work is the removal of existing structures, equipment and construction of certain other items defined in the specifications and drawings. Be advised a bid guarantee equal to 20% of the bid submitted will be required and made part of any solicitation. Failure to provide a bid bond as specified in the solicitation will be caues for rejection of the bid (see FAR 28.101-4). Payment and Performance Bonds equal to 100% of the contract award of any resulting contract will also be required. Magnitude of Construction: $500,000 to $1,000,000 Important Information: This ia a 100% Total Set-aside for Small Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 236220 ($31 million). Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR located on the web at www.ccr.gov). It is desirable that any offeror to have completed their business Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
