Description

This is a notice of intent to negotiate a sole source agreement, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), to lease from The Spectranetics Corporation, 96 Talamine Court, Colorado Springs, CO 80907, one CVS-300 Excimer Cardiovascular Laser System to perform Angiograms. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the equipment that will satisfy agency requirements. Other persons/organizations may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by 3:00 p.m. EST, August 7, 2007. A determination by the Contracting Officer not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notices is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. All inquiries must be submitted in writing (email) with "Cardiovascular Laser System" in the subject line; telephone inquiries will not be accepted, nor responses received after the close time/date. The applicable NAICS Code is 423450 (Medical Equipment, Merchant Wholesalers). The Government's requirements are as follows: 1. The machine absolutely must be an FDA-approved multi-purpose cardiovascular laser system compliant with UL 60601-1, IEC-601, IEC-825, and EN-60825. The machine must also be CE Mark Approved. 2. The activate medium must be XeCl, Pulsed Laser System 3. The wavelength must be 308nm 4. The pulse width must be 125nS - 200nS FWHM 5. The Gas Shelf Life must be a minimum of 3 months 6. The catheter output fluence must be 30-60 mJ/mm2 7. Power must be 208 VAC Any vendor believing that they can meet these criteria as well or better than the listed model shall contact the provided POC before the closing date to provide proof of their capabilities.
