- The 1st Special Ooperations Contracting Squadron proposes to award a Sole Source purchase order to DRS Intelligence and Avionics Solutions, Inc., for the acquisition of two (2) each Mobil Mapping of Air and Ground Intelligence Collection (MAGIC) systems(Enhanced Situational Awareness (ESA) systems). This is theonly system known that is certified for flying operations on the MC-130W aircraft and is being acquired to perform follow-on testing for permanent modification on the MC-130W, MC-130H, and MC-130P aircraft for Global War On Terrorism operations. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision and equipment to provide 2 each MAGIC Systems delivered FOB Destination to Hurlburt Field FL. Hurlburt Field is an Air Force installation that is located in the Florida Panhandle mid-way between Panama City and Pensacola Florida. This acquisition is being issued on an UNRESTRICTED basis. the North American Industry Classification System (NAIS) code for this project is 334119 with a size standard of 500 employees; the SIC code is 3517. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/or about 10 Aug 07. Any resulting contract shall be firm-fixed-price. All responsiblle sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the 1st Special Operations Contracting Squadron. Prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database prior to award of a government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the DoD Central Registration database will render the firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number.
