Description

This office intends to competitively award a FFP contract for 2 ea special protected sedans (FSC 2310). Vehicles shall be assembled as an integral armor structural component design. Armoring shall be performed during assembly line manufacturing of t he vehicle. After market, up-amoring of the vehicle is not acceptable. Vehicles are for overseas use. Vehicles shall meet the applicable requirements of the German Strassenverkehrs-Zulasungsordnung (StZVO)/general operating authorization (Allgemeine Be triebserlaubnis) for Germany. Vehicles shall be new or manufacturer's demonstration/promotion models with not more than 15,000 km. The minimum ballistic protection shall be IAW testing procedures utilized by the Bundeskriminalamt (BKA) and U.S. testing ce rtification procedures. Vehicles must conform to current Department of State (DOS) specifications and standards for explosive, blast and arms protection. Vehicles shall be delivered 150 DARO, earlier delivery is encouraged at no additional cost to the US Government. Delivery shall be FOB destination within Germany. Anticipated issue date of the RFQ is on or about 21 Aug 07 with a closing date of 10 Sep 07. Procurement is being conducted IAW requirements of FAR Part 13, Subpart 13.5 and FAR Part 12.
