Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Agency Dugway Proving Ground is soliciting for companies to provide a near real-time integrated sampling and detection system for the West Desert Test Center. Background: Improved methodology and equipment for material tes ting is being developed in efforts to improve testing capabilities. As part of this effort a near real-time (NRT) integrated sampling and detection system is required with the following minimum requirements: (a) Sampling system to include the following: (1) Stream selection valve with: (i) Support for ten (10) separate sample lines; and (ii) Continuous flow of non-selected lines to vent. (2) Sample preconcentration systems to include each of the following: (i) Cryotrap; (ii) Sample trapping using sorben t tubes; and (iii) 1mL, 2mL, 5mL and 10mL sample loops. (3) Heated injection valve for manual injections/calibrations of a gas chromatograph (GC) (see below); (4) Entire system including valve and sample lines to be Sulfinert/SilcoSteel. (b) Gas Chromato graph to include the following: (1) Small footprint [approximately 6.5 in. (Height) x 16 in. (Width) x 13.5 in. (Diameter)]; (2) Dual Flame Ionization Detector/Flame Photometric Detector; (3) Electronic Pressure Control; (4) Moisture filter, organics and o xygen traps, and tubing for gases; (5) GC control software; (6) Support for packed and capillary columns; (7) Interfaced directly with sampling system above; and (8) GC system to weigh less than 17 lbs. (c) Other requirements shall include the following: (1) Design goal to attain a sample from each test cell within every 20 minutes; (2) User friendly control software for the combined GC and sampling system; (3) Breakthrough reporting software for reporting/plotting of analyte permeation; (4) Delivery to U. S. Army Dugway Proving Ground, Utah within 90 calendar days after contract award. The requirement will be available on or about August 15, 2007 at the Army's Single Face to Industry web site (https://acquisition.army.mil).
