- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using the simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items (FAR Part 12) to procure services to furnish and install a Plasma Spray and Dust Collection Unit by the Anniston Army Depot, D irectorate of Contracting, ATTN: AMSTA-AN-CTPC, 7 Frankford Avenue, Bldg. 221, Anniston, AL 36201-4199. The Government intends to award a sole source contract (FAR Part 13.5) for the above products and services to the firm of Sulzer Metco (US), Inc., 11 01 Prospect Avenue, Westbury, NY 11590-2724. This firm is the sole developer as well as sole manufacturer/distributor of this Plasma Spray and Dust Collection Unit product. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit only one source. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Companies who recognize and can provide this product shall provide detail literature for eval uation to Wikiki Henton at wikiki.henton@us.army.mil no later than August 12, 2007; if approved, this information may be considered in future procurements. Vendors may download an electronic copy on or after issue date by accessing https://www.procnet.ana d.army.mil (Doing Business with Us). Estimated issue date is August 8, 2007. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintai n a bidder's mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date of closing may render your proposal non-responsive and result in the rejections of your quote.
