Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, has a requirement for mechanical maintenance dredging of approximately 120,000 cubic yards at the head of the Duwamish River navigation channel, Seattle, WA. The dredging shall occur approximately five miles upstream from Harbor Island, upstream of Slip 6 within the turning basin and adjacent channel. All dredged material is considered suitable for open-water disposal. Dredged material shall be disposed by bottom-dump scow at the pre-designated El liott Bay open-water disposal site. The sediment disposal shall follow WA Dept. of Natural Resources procedures. Dredging shall start on or after December 1, 2007 and shall be completed by January 31, 2008 Project is open to both large and small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 with a size standard of $31 million. For the purposes of this procurement, a firm is a small business if its annual average gross revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $31 million. Large businesses with bids in excess of $1 million must include a subcontracting plan with goals for small, HUBZone, small disadvantaged, small woman-owned, and small veteran-owned c oncerns. Issue of this solicitation will be online at www.fedteds.gov. No disks or hard copy will be available. Follow the registration procedures at this site and www.fedteds.gov to receive notification of solicitation/amendment posting. The solicitati on will be available for download no less than 15 days from the date of this synopsis. The bid due date will be no less than 30 days from the issue of the solicitation.
